Phil is great!
I begun to interest to poker last year. Here in Italy the most played draw variant is the one played with the reduced deck. In that variant a was a good player.

Good book to learn the basics and start winning
The book covers several kinds of poker, but I’ve only read the sections on Limit and NoLimit Hold’Em, as well as the parts that discuss general poker strategy.
